HRD Officer



As a HRD officer, you are responsible for the training and continuous development of our organization and staff. You create a challenging environment in which working and learning meet each other and people get the space to explore and develop their talents.

  • Mapping the training and development needs in the organization and pro-actively advice both management and staff.
  • Further, develop and organize the European Shimano Academy and its training modules as well as other workshops and trainings offered by the organization.
  • Taking care of the registration of training activities and monitoring / reporting on training participation and cost versus budgets.
  • Maintain and source the contacts with training agencies and trainers and ensure a good price-quality level fitting our budgets for development.
  • Ensure coaching, advising and training of our managers, make analyses, monitor, and report progress.
  • Provide general support to directors of different business units.
  • Create and develop Shimano Academy and training programs and ensure a good and timely planning and communication to organization and participants.
  • Take care of all bookings, confirmations and registrations in relation to development.
  • Work together with the HR Business Partners in individual development and training requests.
  • Education in the business field of Educational Science or a similar field of expertise.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in a similar HR role.
  • Working experience in an international working environment.
  • Strong in both analytical and operational activities (‘hands-on’).
  • Excellent understanding of the Dutch and English language, both verbal and in writing.
  • Expertise: You keep track of the developments in your own business field and you are able to advise others in the organization based on your professional knowledge.
  • Planning & Organization: You plan and organize the own work, as well as the training activities, carefully. You keep a good overview in multiple training projects and you can shift between different plans.
  • Analytical thinking: You are strong in analyzing and structuring information and translating this into documents, reports or other output.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills: You communicate correctly to participants of Shimano Academy and incompany and individual trainings. At training days, you will take care of the kick-off.
